EMBRACE (Enriching Many By Reaching All In Catholic Education) is an independent 501(c)3 organization who supports students with disabilities and learning differences in the Catholic schools in the Archdiocese in Kansas City in Kansas. Since 2018, EMBRACE has awarded over $2 million dollars in grants to schools to hire resource personnel and scholarships to teachers to receive their Special Education certification, which will not be a Masters degree! Nearly $1 million of that has been granted in the last two years.

While this is exciting news there is still much work to be done. The need for support for students with disabilities and learning differences is growing in our Catholic schools. Over $1.3 million dollars in applications were submitted to EMBRACE from Catholic Schools across the Archdiocese during this year’s grant cycle. We are so thrilled to award $365,000 in grants and scholarships to schools and teachers in the Archdiocese this upcoming school year. While we would have loved to funded every application, we unfortunately do not have the resources at this time. However, this is the goal we are working towards, as we believe all our Catholic school students benefit from an inclusive environment.
